Students!  Do you have an interest in writing?  Would you like a chance to polish your writing skills?  Very soon we will present an exciting opportunity to be part of a five day writing workshop with the accomplished author, Rukhsana Khan.

Rukhsana comes to us from Toronto.  She has written ten books for children and young adults, and has more in the works.  She is a very friendly and interesting person who has a great deal of skill and insight to share.

This is a rare opportunity to do something special and unusual in school.  If you want to take part in the workshop, you must be willing to make up the work you will miss.  Participants will miss one Block A, two Block B, one Block C, and one Block D class.

Ms Burgess and Mrs. Rabel are assembling the list of students who will take part in this five day class.  Speak to one of them today.  Don’t miss out on a very special week!

  • Lieutenant-Governor to Visit Sept. 30

Posted on September 17th, 2009 Mrs. Rabel

stevenpoint1BC Lieutenant-Governor Stephen Point will visit the school on Wednesday, September 30 at 1:00 PM.  Students in Grades 11 and 12 are invited to attend with their Block C teachers.

This is a rare opportunity, so please plan to come, hear what he has to say, and ask questions.  His Honour wants to interact with youth, so start to think about what you might ask the Queen’s representative in our province.  If you would like some guidance in forming questions, please talk to Ms. Burgess or Mrs. Rabel.
