September Registration

All elementary school offices will be open on August 25 through August 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
to register students.
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
Start-up times for students new to Prince Rupert will be received from the school when you register.
New students for CHARLES HAYS SECONDARY SCHOOL, PRINCE RUPERT MIDDLE SCHOOL and PACIFIC COAST SCHOOL can register August 25 to August 29

Welcome to School District No. 52 (Prince Rupert)

School District 52 (Prince Rupert) is located on the rugged northern coast of British Columbia, Canada and is situated in the traditional territories of the Ts’msyen people. The district serves families in Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Metlakatla, Gitxaala, Hartley Bay, Lax Kw’alaams, Dodge Cove, and Gingolx (Kincolith). We are situated on a 22.5 kilometre long harbour that is one of the deepest, natural, ice-free harbours in the world.

Dear Parents/Guardians:
PROVINCIAL LABOUR DISPUTE UPDATE
I wanted to take this opportunity to give parents a brief update on developments regarding the provincial labour dispute.
We are encouraged that BCPSEA and BCTF are meeting and working towards common ground on the provincial settlement. Nevertheless, as of 3:00pm today (August 29, 2014) we still do not have agreement or indication that schools will be open on September 2, 2014.
