School District 52 runs a Microsoft Exchange Server for messaging and calendaring. We support the Outlook 2007 and 2010 clients for Windows computers, and Entourage 2008 EWS/Outlook 2011 for Apple. The preferred method for access to your email is the Outlook Web App located at:

https://webmail.sd52.bc.ca

We also support mobile devices using the ActiveSync protocol, and Blackberry’s using the Blackberry Enterprise Server Express. All ActiveSync devices should work using the autodiscover service, all you should have to feed the mobile device is your email address and your password. Blackberry Enterprise Activation must be completed on premises.

Please contact the tech shop at 250-624-2019 to arrange Blackberry activation. Please ensure that you have a BIS or BES account active on the Blackberry, and expect to leave the phone with the tech shop for at least 30 minutes while activation completes.

At this time we recommend ActiveSync based devices over the Blackberry devices for reasons of simplicity of configuration.
